Spirit Of Offense And Bitterness

“One day Jesus said to his disciples, “There will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting! It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin. So watch yourselves! “If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.” The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.””

Christian research agency Barna Group says: a significant number of people who leave their churches cite negative experiences as a key reason. Their studies have found that nearly 40% of people who’ve stopped attending church regularly point to “personal hurt” as a primary reason. LifeWay Research, another organization that focuses on church trends, found that 66% of churchgoers who stopped attending church regularly reported they left because of personal conflict or painful church experiences.

Being offended is not a sin itself, but the fruit produced in your life when you pick up an offense is sinful.

My people are scattered. They have so wrapped themselves in a spirit of offense that they’ve learned to live with an offended and wounded spirit. Some even say that is part of “God’s plan.” This is not true. Although My Church is destined to experience the furnace of affliction, and to share in My suffering, they are not meant to succumb to the trap of offense. They are meant to walk in the freedom of forgiveness just as I forgave them and wash them clean from all of their transgressions. I do not hold or remember any repented sin or offense against my children. My design for my church is to be healed from the inside out. Not to carry offense to their grave. My children will never experience the fullness of life that I’ve intended, carrying such heavy burdens and resentments. It’s time for My church to make it right with Me(God) and to be reconciled with each-other. As the Earth, as you know it enters its final hours, my church must not take the bait the evil one is placing amongst the saints. Stay close to me, keep your conscious clear with your brothers and sisters and evict the spirit of offense using the authority of My name(Jesus). I love you. I’m coming back for you. I will deliver you from the hands of the enemy.
