[Good News for the Oppressed]
1The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.

1The mighty Spirit of Lord Yahweh is wrapped around me
because Yahweh has anointed me,
as a messenger to preach good news to the poor.
He sent me to heal the wounds of the brokenhearted,
to tell captives, “You are free,”
and to tell prisoners, “Be free from your darkness.”

[GALATIANS 5:16-21 - NLT]
16So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
17The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires.
These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
18But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.
19When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear:
-sexual immorality,
-impurity,
-lustful pleasures,
-20idolatry,
-sorcery,
-hostility,
-quarreling,
-jealousy,
-outbursts of anger,
-selfish ambition,
-dissension,
-division,
-21envy,
-drunkenness,
-wild parties, and other sins like these.
Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

EMPHASIS AREA 1
**I cannot release freedom over the oppressed, the captives and the prisoners if I have not overcome what is holding me hostage.


EMPHASIS AREA 2
**If every area of our lives isn't thoroughly swept by The Holy Spirit, I subject others to what I'm carrying and worse - even greater seducing spirits.
'Own it and move forward by giving permission to Jesus to wash us with His blood - His precious sacrifice to cleans and cover us.'

-The best way to help others is to work on ourselves first so we are rightly positioned through Christ's sanctification process.

1 TIMOTHY 4:1 (AMP)
1But the [Holy] Spirit explicitly and unmistakably declares that in later times some will turn away from the faith, paying attention instead to deceitful and seductive spirits and doctrines of demons.
