David's 6 Step Process to Being Restored:
-Demonstrating and exercising patience.
-Acknowledging the need for help beyond what another human could provide. (Supernatural)
-Giving permission to God to lift him out of the pit or desperate situation he was in.
-Devoting his life to being re-positioned and restored by God.
-Vulnerability (an opening up if his emotions and weakest place) - he allowed God to hold and steady him.
-New song - fresh praise and becoming a testimony (living proof - a witness) of God's goodness.

[David held onto God, not his close friends, family, his closest companion and certainly not his status of being a King]

Q: What was one instance where pride caused you to stumble or lose out on a good thing?
-How has holding onto pride negatively impacted your life?


Philippians 2:3-11 (TPT)
3Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity.
Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves.
4Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests.
5And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us.
Let his mindset become your motivation.

6He existed in the form of God, yet he gave no thought to seizing equality with God as his supreme prize.
7Instead he emptied himself of his outward glory by reducing himself to the form of a lowly servant. He became human!
8He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in his death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion!
9Because of that obedience, God exalted him and multiplied his greatness! He has now been given the greatest of all names! 10The authority of the name of Jesus causes every knee to bow in reverence! Everything and everyone will one day submit to this name—in the heavenly realm, in the earthly realm, and in the demonic realm.
11And every tongue will proclaim in every language: “Jesus Christ is Lord Yahweh,” bringing glory and honor to God, his Father! '

6And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

You’re cheating on God.
If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way.
And do you suppose God doesn’t care?
The proverb has it that “he’s a fiercely jealous lover.” And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find.
It’s common knowledge that “God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.”


This week, ask:
What within me resembles the world?

Where do I need to become more like Christ?

How is Christ working His nature of humility into my own life?


Pray:
-Jesus, fill me with your spirit and highlight to me where I need to make necessary changes and adjustments in my own life.

-Give me a right spirit and discernment to know how you’re calling me to respond to every situation I am faced with through Christlike humility and thinking.

-I pray that Christ’s mindset will become my greatest motivation; so that anything outside of Christ will not lead me away from Him but that I will always remain deeply connected and bonded to Him.
