SCRIPTURES & NOTES:
1 JOHN 4:13-16 (NLT)
13And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.
14Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
15All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
16We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
17And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

Psalm 63:3 (NKJV)
3Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.

ROMANS 2:4 (NLT)
4Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you?
Does this mean nothing to you?
Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?

The Scriptures portrays God’s relationship with His people as a sacred romance, describing Him as a jealous lover who demands exclusive devotion.

Exodus 34:14 (NLT)
14 You must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.

The vision Isaiah had of The Lord caused him to immediately see his need for God's grace and a divine touch!

ISAIAH 6:5:7 (NLT)
5And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”
6Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.
7And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”

Biblical Significance:
 A truly soul-shaking moment captured: when a person truly encounters God's absolute holiness, their own sinfulness and need for grace are instantly exposed.

-The awe of God drove the prophet Isaiah to see his own flaws but not to the point of condemnation, to the point of surrender (in awe) and encountering God's grace.

PSALM 37:23-24 (NLT)
23The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
24Though they stumble, they will never fall,
for the Lord holds them by the hand.

EPHESIANS 2:8-9
8God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
9Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

1 JOHN 4:18-19 (NLT) - (Perfect Love is not based upon fear)
18Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear.
If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
19We love each other because he loved us first.

ROMANS 5:5 (NLT) - (God's love doesn't ridicule us but was meant to rescue us.)
5And this hope will not lead to disappointment (or in other words 'shame').
For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

The Love of God (Song Reference)

The love of God is greater far
  Than tongue or pen can ever tell.
It goes beyond the highest star
  And reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
  God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled
  And pardoned from his sin.

Chorus/ Refrain:
O love of God, how rich and pure!
  How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
    The saints’ and angels’ song.

When hoary time shall pass away,
  And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall;
When men who here refuse to pray,
  On rocks and hills and mountains call;
God’s love, so sure, shall still endure,
  All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
  The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
  And were the skies of parchment made;
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
  And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
  Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
  Though stretched from sky to sky.
