1 JOHN 4:1 (NLT)
1Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit.
You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God.
For there are many false prophets in the world.



MATTHEW 16:24 (NLT)
24Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.


1 JOHN 3:1-10 (NLT)
1See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!
But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
2Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears.
But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.
3And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
4Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God.
5And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him.
6Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.
7Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous.
8But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning.
But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. 9Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.
10So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil.
Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.



2 PETER 2:20-22 (NLT)
20And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before.
21It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.
22They prove the truth of this proverb:
“A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.”

Being a true representation of The Good News calls every believer to a covenant union with Christ - a bond that is dependent upon The Blood and operates from the power therein.

The Lambs blood is the only passageway that makes every dirty and contaminated thing clean.

Covenant: is a deep relational commitment that exemplifies loyalty, sacrifice and deepest affection.
-A true lasting relational covenant operates from an unbreakable and irrevocable bond.
-It keeps its commitment and is a secured promise.

Christs ‘commitment’ was enduring suffering and death on the cross.
His ‘secured promise’ is eternal life to those who enter into this holy covenant.

Living in the sacrifice (of Christ) will empower you to set captives free because of this power at work within you.
